Vaccine network design to maximize immunization coverage

چکیده
Purpose The COVID-19 pandemic has forced countries to consider how reach vulnerable communities with extended outreach services improve vaccination uptake. authors created an optimization model align decision-makers' objective maximize immunization coverage within constrained budgets and deploy resources considering empirical data endogenous demand. Design/methodology/approach A mixed integer program (MIP) determines the location of sites resource deployment across health centers sites. validated evaluated approach in consultation UNICEF using a case study from Gambia. Findings Results Gambia showed that by opening new optimizing allocation scheduling, Ministry Health could increase 91.0 97.1% under same budget. Case solutions informed managerial insights drive gains vaccine even without application sophisticated tools. Originality/value research LMIC distribution modeling literature two ways: first, calculation demand as function distance facility enabled effective design network around convenience community second, model's bundle concept more accurately flexibly represented complex requirements costs for specific resources, which facilitated buy-in stakeholders responsible managing budgets. paper also demonstrated leverage spatial analysis publicly available demographic geographic effectively represent important contextual factors.

Grasp planning to maximize task coverage
This paper proposes a task-oriented grasp quality metric based on distribution of task disturbance, which could be used to search for a grasp that covers the most significant part of the disturbance distribution. Rather than using a uniformly distributed task wrench space, this paper models a manipulation task with a non-parametric statistical distribution model built from the disturbance data ...
متن کاملVaccine coverage during a school-based hepatitis B immunization program.
Ontario initiated a universal hepatitis B immunization program for grade seven students in the fall of 1994. An ecological study was conducted within seven health units of the Greater Toronto Area to assess vaccine coverage. The study population consisted of all grade seven students enrolled within schools in the participating health units, on October 1, 1994. There were 39,935 students enrolle...

OBJECTIVE: To describe measles vaccination patterns in a cohort of Swiss children aged up to 3 years insured with a single health insurer. METHODS: A dynamic cohort study evaluating measles immunizations patterns in children born between 2006 and 2008 was conducted. Timeto-event analysis was used to describe timing of measles immunization. Effective vaccine coverage was calculated by using an a...
